Thirds:
Deniliquin’s thirds side had a good week on the track and were keen to get back on the winner’s list.
Numurkah’s thirds sat a game ahead of the young Rams on the ladder and the close contest in the first quarter reflected the two sides’ hard work.
The Blues took an eight point lead into the second quarter.
The second quarter was more of the same, with both sides having their share of the play, but as the quarter went on the Rams started to take a bit of control and really get their own game going.
The Rams midfield lifted in the third term, and the defence started to get on top holding the Blues to one point for the quarter.
Up forward, the Rams took advantage and kicked three goals to take a seven point lead at the last break.
The last quarter saw Numurkah fight back but the Rams held strong, breaking even for the term and recording a great team win away from home.
Final score: Numurkah 5.8 (38) to Deniliquin 7.4 (46)

Fourths:
Round 10 saw the Rams fourths take on Numurkah away from home.
With Numurkah having a split of a few wins and a few losses coming in to the clash, the young Rams were confident that if they were to play at their best they could add another win to their tally.
From the first bounce the determination of the Blues was on display, fiercely attacking the ball at every opportunity, however the skill and teamwork that the Rams displayed made it extremely difficult for Numurkah to get a score on the board, finishing the first quarter 13-0.
The third quarter had the Rams fourths a little nervous with Numurkah stepping up their game and holding the rams side to no goal for the quarter.
The final quarter saw Rams coming firing, scoring two quick goals in a matter of minutes, eventually the Deni side taking home the win in strong fashion.

Under-12s:
Rochester Tigers travelled to Hardinge St on a drizzly Friday night to take on the u12s in round eight of the GMJL.
The boys knew it was going to a be a tough game, there were minimal bounces, Rochester boys were well drilled, displayed plenty of clean possessions and were well positioned.
Henry Pisasale finally managed to break through the pack for the first goal of the night and gave Rams an eight point lead at quarter time.
Lachie Macdonald snagged a brilliant goal in the second and Rams led 17-7 going into the half-time break.
It was an evenly scored third quarter and there was a lot of pressure on the Rams backline for the first time all match.
Some key changes at three quarter time by Rob Wettenhall saw Rams dominate the mid field, feed it into the forward line and the boys finished off the game strongly with a solid win. It was a great game in wet conditions attributed by all.

Under-10s:
U10s hosted the Echuca Murray Bombers at home on Sunday morning.
The boys all raring to go after a week off the previous week and it showed in a start to the game.
Echuca are one of the tougher opponents, however the Rams’ defensive pressure was excellent and enabled them to move the ball forward with ease.
Jed Fitzmaurice played well across all positions earning him player of the day.
Goal kickers were Jed Chadderton, Jed Fitzmaurice, Nate Fitzpatrick, Edward Bliss and Chase Dunn.
Special mention to Jake Taylor who played his first game in the blue and gold.
