They were playing across the Section 1 match play competition, and participating in the Hot Shots program.
The parent involvement for round one was fantastic, and ensured the morning ran smoothly – whether they were coaching, picking up balls, scoring or helping out in the canteen.
The junior tennis club truly appreciates this assistance and couldn't run the program without it.
In Section 1, it was very pleasing to see great sportsmanship on display, with more experienced kids supported those new to the match format.
Some strong rallies were played across both matches, with several tight sets and tie breaks.
JC Earthworks (10 sets) defeated Cotton Tales Agronomics (two sets).
Riverina Watermatic (seven sets) defeated Deni Physio (five sets).
Special congratulations to the three set winners this week, winning both their doubles sets and singles set - Stella Chadderton, Rupert Maslen, Ben McDonald and Oli Hall.
The club is looking forward to Round 2 this week and keeping the momentum going.
