The Murray Valley Cricket Association’s junior cricketers were recognised across the board for their hard work during the season at last week’s award night.
Players were acknowledged in under 16 and under 14 teams with best and fairest, most valuable player, batting average, bowling average and encouragement awards being handed out on the night.

It was a big night for local talent, with four Deni Rhinos players taking home awards in their respective age groups.
Lochie Holloway took home the Most Valuable Player for the under 16s, as well as the bowling award, with a 4.84 average.
Jake Herberte was awarded best and fairest in the under 16s alongside Travis Lawton from Finley and Ewan Congues from Nathalia.

Jackson Muldoon-Leetham from Deni also received the encouragement award for under 16s.
Lochie Holloway, Jake Herberte and Noah Bradley were all named in the under 16s team of the year, with Holloway being named vice captain for the team.
In under 14s, Deni’s Sam Crossley was awarded for his impressive batting efforts for the season, taking home the batting average award with 66.5.
He was also named in the under 14s team of the year, as an opening batter.
Sam Crossley was the stand out batsman in the league this season for the Under 14s.
