In round eight of the Deni Junior Lawn Tennis season, JC Earthworks edged past Cotton Tales Agronomics in a nail-biter, winning on games countback (six sets each, 53–51 games).

A standout doubles clash saw Reece King and Stella Chadderton (JC Earthworks) claim victory over Charlie Eastman and Jackson (Cotton Tales) in a tense tie-break.
The deciding singles match came down to Jed Chadderton versus Kaitlyn Paton, with Paton prevailing 6-4 to seal the result.
Riverina Watermatic powered through the round eight match, defeating Deni Physio 8-4 in sets and 59-42 in games.
In a thrilling doubles battle, Lenny Hanns and Charlotte King (Riverina Watermatic) held their nerve in a tie-break to overcome Matilda Eddy and Lenny Maher (Deni Physio), 8-6.
Three set winners this week all belonged to Riverina Watermatic - George Pisasale, Lenny Hanns and Charlotte King.
After a dramatic round eight full of close contests, the Section 1 grand final is set for this Saturday, and excitement is building as JC Earthworks prepares to take on Riverina Watermatic.
The grand final will be followed by a presentation which will include the hotly contested three set winner for the season.
The Hot Shots program enjoyed a visit from club stalwarts Peter and Angus Rae, who brought their expertise to the Orange and Green groups this week.
Their coaching sessions were met with great enthusiasm from players and parents alike.
The club is very thankful for the time they provided and hope they might be back for the final hotshots session this week.
Tommorow’s grand final will also mark the last Hot Shots session of the year, believed to be capped off with a visit from Mr Whippy to celebrate a fantastic first half of the season.
