Lloyd claims round eight

Thirteen drivers took to the Deniliquin Sporting Club Club track for round eight of the Autocross series on Sunday.

The drivers varied from 14 to 70 years old and the cars from cheap junk to a 4WD rally built Lancer Evo.

The day was already heating up when racing started at 10am.

The track was slippery to start, with loose gravel making it hard to achieve good times.

The drivers welcomed the lunch break and some time out of the hot cars.

While everyone else had some food, a couple of the under-14s had some runs at the shorter Khanacross track.

The final three runs after lunch produced the fastest laps of the day.

Class winners:

Class P - Bryson Lloyd.

Class D - Neil Goudie.

Junior - Darcy Crozier.

The next event at DSCC will be round nine on Sunday, December 10. Gates open at 8am and racing is from 11am.
