Annie Harvey and Makayla Finn, representing the Deniliquin Netball Association, were among 150 netballers to trail for the squad this year.
Makayla has been selected in the 15 and under squad, while Annie has been selected in the 17 and under squad.
Deniliquin also has another connection to the tourmanet, with Annie’s mum Linda Harvey appointed team manager for the 17 and under squad.
The trio will attend the tournament at the State Netball Hockey Centre on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2.
“I’m going to enjoy getting to know my teammates from around the region and it will be rewarding to play at a high level and test my netball skills,” Annie said.
“I’m really excited to be selected again this year, the tournament will be a new experience competing against other regions from around Victoria. I’m keen to learn new skills, keep developing and to see where netball can take me,” Makayla added.
The girls also thanked their coaches, both past and present, for getting them where they are today.
The Pastoral Times understands other local netballers are being considered for the Murray Goulburn region team.
Selection had not been finalised at the time of going to print.
