Mathoura swooped by Swans

Mathoura coach Kat Wippel said her side was simply too slow out of the blocks.

“We just started off way too slow. Playing catch-up all day was no good,” Wippel said.

“Katunga are a pretty good side so you can’t be playing catch-up netball.”

Despite the loss, the Timbercutters remain in sixth place, holding a 4-2 win-loss record ahead of a big clash against top-four side Katandra this week.

“We’re still happy with where we’re sitting. The girls are doing well,” she said.

Meanwhile, Picola United is still hunting for its first win of the season after falling 32-47 to Strathmerton.
