Saturday’s game was not the one to watch in the chilly, wet conditions, and the Deniliquin Rams could only manage 2 goals for the whole game.

Moama came out strong, kicking four goals in windy conditions to the Rams’ one.
Miller Fitzpatrick was once again dominant around the ground, earning him best on ground for the day.
Mick Barnett, Darcy Cullenward and John Anstee also defended well in the backline, but we struggled getting the ball in our 50.
Cameron Robinson played his best game for the year, taking on Moama’s big ruckman.
Harry Hillier was also consistent through the midfield.
At one point in the last quarter, 16 out of the 18 players on the ground were under the age of 22.
It included Chase Bartlett and Jai Park, both 15, and 16 year-old Dexter Hardman.
The Rams have a lot of youth coming through and even though we haven’t got the wins we’d like, the future in developing these young players is exciting.

It was another tough game for the Magoos.

Thirds
We received a timely reminder that we do indeed play a winter sport, as the boys braved the wind, rain and cold - as well as a formidable second placed opponent in Moama.
We were short on numbers for the game, but those that did pull on the blue and gold gave a solid contest and focused on being hard at the ball and playing the conditions.
Coach Troy Bartlett was happy with the boys’ endeavour over the full match.
They didn’t drop their head when things were tough, and kept fighting to the final siren.

Under-12s:
The U12s hosted Lockington Bamawn on Friday night in the midst of the biggest rain event Deniliquin has had since the middle of March.
The Rams started the game off well, with Ollie Dellwo snapping a goal just outside the goal square to put the first score on the board.
He continued to run hard all game, and had a big impact as a follower, while his brother Jasper used his voice well and had plenty of the ball out on the wing.
Rams were up by two goals at quarter time.
Harrison Leethem kicked a beautiful goal on the run in the second, and then Edward Bliss managed a 50m penalty and scored directly in front.
As the rain got heavier, it became harder to bounce, keep warm and keep hold of the ball.
It didn’t seem to phase Lachy Jeffrey, though. He had a brilliant game in the centre, and was involved in many great ball moving passages.
Lockington finally kicked their only goal in the dying seconds of the last quarter, but the young Rams proved too strong.
Final Score: Rams 4.6 (30) def Lockington Bamawn 1.3 (9).
Goals: Ollie Dellwo, Harrison Leetham, Henry Pisasale, Edward Bliss.
Awards: Ollie Dellwo, Edward Bliss, Lachy Jeffrey, Jasper Dellwo.
Under-10s:
In cold and very wet conditions, our u10s braved the elements in an impressive performance against Echuca United.
The team adapted well to the slippery ball and heavy ground, showing great teamwork and determination.
Jake Woolston led the way up forward with a dominant four-goal haul, while Willy Eastman chipped in with two majors.
Bailey Cabral, Leroy Fisicaro, Mason Elphick, Nate McComb, and Cooper Farley also hit the scoreboard with a goal each, rounding out a great team effort.
Our award winners this week were Jake Woolston, Cooper Farley and George Pisasale.
Cooper was the captain this week, and gave the prestigious captain’s award to Gus Browne, who made some brilliant tackles.
Well done to all the players for a great game in testing weather.
