Sefton was 41 not out at the end of his Fire Brigade Red team’s innings, the fourth occasion in five matches that he has kept his wicket intact — including scores of 50, 39 and 31 not out.
He has only been dismissed once and was the key to his side’s 7-118 run tally, having restricted Rochester to 79 in its innings.
Rochester batted after winning the toss, but with Billy Isaac taking 2-2 from two early overs was always under pressure.
Billy Sheppard and Finn Guiney also took two wickets, the latter now having eight wickets in all competitions this season at an average of 7.50.
Archie Shepparton provided one of the match’s highlights when he smashed 21 runs from 21 deliveries, including a pair of sixes, which came in an over that cost Rochester 19 runs.
Late in the innings Billy Isaac added to his two wickets with 18 runs from 32 deliveries.
There are four weeks of the Under-12 competition remaining.

In reply Moama was 3-114 at the end of its over allocation at Brose Reserve, Tongala’s Olivia Smith, Lily and Couper Williams the wicket takers.
— Xavier Dodos and Aidan Greiner dominated the Kyabram Fire Brigade White run chase after it sent Echuca South into bat in the match at Echuca’s 208 Primary School.
South was 4-33 at the end of 20 overs, Greiner also doing the damage with the ball by taking 2-3 from four overs. Dodos took the other wicket.
Dodos was out for 26 from 31 deliveries, an innings that included three boundaries, while Greiner was 14 not out at the end of the innings and is yet to be dismissed in the Under-12 competition.
— Kyabram Red batters Jack Halstead and Riley Nicholson combined to set the tone for a successful run chase against Bamawm Lockington United on Wednesday.
Halstead retired on 18 and Nicholson was retired 20 (with three boundaries) as the team finished with 6-93 in response to BLU’s 5-59 total from 20 overs.
Halstead, Xavier Graetz, Alby Halstead and James Godd-Quin all took one wicket for Kyabram Red.
— Kyabram Black fell 24 runs short in its run chase against Echuca Green, despite the best efforts of captain Asher Porch and opening batter Sebastian Greely.
Greely has now batted on seven occasions in Under-12 competition and been dismissed just once, averaging 132 for the season.
He was not out 21 and Porch finished with top score of 25 (from 33 deliveries) as Kyabram was all out for 99 in the run chase, with two and a half overs left unused.
Anthony Evans (14) and Flynn Burrows (11) also contributed to the total, with Burrows the pick of the bowlers taking 2-12 from two overs.
