The girls put up a fantastic effort against a powerful Moama side. The Lions team is coming together great. The mid court players are feeding the ball well into the goalers who are forming a great combination.
It’s great to see the young under 17’s helping out and Hannah Riches slotted in nicely to the team.
Coming into the game the Under 17s knew that Moama were going to be a strong competitor.
All girls put in 100% with Reese and Kealey strong in defence. Mikayla, Polyy and Paige moved the ball well in goal and Hanna, Maya, Mikayla and Chloe all applied great defensive pressure through the mid court.
A great competitive game but unfortunately, the Lions went down 28 to 42.
This week was a tough game for the Lions but they never gave up.
The Lions started a little slow but improved throughout the game. Grace, Ruby T and Abbi worked hard in defence against a strong apposition.
Alannah applied lots of pressure in WD and gained Intercepts all over the court. Even though it was a tough game the girls kept there cool and fought hard.
