The club welcomes recruits across all grades, but is specifically seeking numbers for its thirds football team and A-grade netball side.
Norman said while he was not initially intending to take the top role at the club this year, he said it was one way to give back to the club he has been involved in “my whole life”.
“I started playing in 1993; I’ve always been involved in some capacity with the club,” he said.
“I have been a committee member and coached the reserves for three or four years.”
Norman wants to convey the message that Blighty is a family friendly club where “everyone is welcome.”
“Our objective is to field all grades in a happy and fun environment.
“We are looking forward to the football and netball teams working together, for a competitive, fun, social season ahead.”
“We have a jam packed social calendar this year with lots of fun for our juniors too - so what better time to get your footy boots on.
“Our thirds coaches - Jarrod Andrews and Callum Campbell - have both played junior and senior football with the club and are excited to lead the thirds in the upcoming season.”
The thirds training is on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 6pm to 7.30pm.
For any further information, contact Andrews on 0429 826 318, Campbell on 0400 028 942 or the junior vice president Lonni Grimwood on 0427 880 176.
