Division 1 played host to Mathoura and fell agonisingly short in going down by a solitary shot, 52 shots to 53.
Jamie Shields’ rink was beaten 14-23, while Steve O’Brien’s side prevailed 21-14, to keep the home side in the contest.
The final rink of Mark Quor (s), Graham Nisbet, Chris Taylor and Peter Chadderton played out a thriller with the lead changing on numerous occasions, before getting their timing right at the end to win 17 shots to 16.
However, it was just not enough to prevent the overall one shot victory to Mathoura.
Division 2 ventured to Rochester and came away with a very dominant win, 88 shots to 44.
Paul Snare (s), Andrew Holloway, Tony Danckert and Steve King led ‘from go to whoa’ recording a comfortable 27-12 win, while Glenn Thomson’s team was equally impressive in getting the job done, 29 shots to 11.
Stuart Treble’s rink, including Terry Boyer, Joanne Bovell and Craig Hillier were involved in a very tight contest early, but claimed a six on the 12th end to propel them into a clear lead.
They never looked back from there, and went on to win 32-17, and claim the commanding overall 44 shot triumph.
Division 3 travelled to Echuca and lost on all three rinks, albeit narrowly on two, when they were defeated 57 shots to 74.
Lee Pattinson’s side just failed going down 23-25, while Mark Law’s crew suffered a similar fate in losing 21 shots to 24.
Keith Hay’s team struggled for most of the contest before succumbing 13 shots to 25, which ensured Echuca’s overall 17 shot victory.

Ken 'Titch' Salter could not replicate his 2023 success, and missed the joker on Wednesday.
The Clear Lifestyle Support Jackpot Bowls again attracted a large field of willing combatants on Wednesday evening.
At the conclusion of the contest there were two combinations which had won both their games, and had the identical plus 31 shots.
A countback was required to determine that Siobhan Barry, Felicity McCalman and Alan Hardcastle would just take the spoils over the evergreen duo of Mike ‘Charlie’ Donohue and Gary Lehman.
It was then Ken ‘Titch’ Salter’s chance to emulate his feat from last year when he claimed the very healthy Joker Jackpot.
He was unable to carry that form into 2024 however, which means there will be a whopping $1850 up for grabs after play tomorrow.
Those intending to take part may ring the club on 5881 1348 no later than 5pm Wednesday to register, with play to start at 6pm.
