Premier Fours winners Stuart Forbes, Stephen Field, Nino Vlahovic and Kevin Booker.
Despite the bitterly cold weather on Saturday, the Deniliquin Bowling Club conducted a very successful Premier Fours tournament.

The club was delighted to host a capacity field of 42 teams, with players coming from far and wide to take part.
In particular, the Bannockburn Bowls Club continued their great support for this event in bringing seven teams, thus throwing down the gauntlet to the local club to reciprocate in kind for that club’s fours tournament in early February.
The format saw each team play five matches after a random draw, and at the conclusion there was only one five-game winner.
This was a composite team comprising of Stuart Forbes from Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley, Stephen Field from Dunkeld, and Nino Vlahovic and Kevin Booker both from suburban Melbourne.
The boys trousered an attractive payout for their efforts, and handed over a very generous amount of ‘the folding stuff’ on leaving, with instructions to buy all the volunteers some refreshment. (Thanks Stephen, it was much appreciated!)
Runners-up were Frank Tonn, Wayne Brooks, Pat Quinn and Ian Coates from Cohuna, while the South Bendigo team and the boys from Tarwin/Inverloch were the others to claim a share of the prize money.
There were other innovations to share around the spoils with locals Conway Bovell, Rob Morris, Andrew Holloway and Romsey visitor Glen Gibson getting paid for the biggest winning margin in the final match.
I guess 34-0 would have been hard to surpass!
Also, one of the aforementioned Bannockburn sides and a Romsey team claimed some cash after being last and second last on the ladder after the first day’s play.
