With a few players away, the Rhinos had the able help of three under-15s in the side, including Henry Pisasale for his senior Rhinos debut.
Rhinos stand-in captain Lachlan Marshall got the first win of the day for the Rhinos, winning the toss and electing to bat.
Jonty Tubb and Hamish Baker opened the batting.
The pair got off to a composed start knocking around any loose deliveries, having to run for the majority of their opening partnership score due to a slow outfield.
Baker was the first to be out, bowled for 14 after an Evan Lawton ball got through his defence in the eighth over.
Tubb was next to depart two overs later, bowled by Lawton for 18 when a ball kept low and moved in slightly.
This saw Senaka Lakmal and Charlie McCallum come together.
Lakmal managed a boundary off a free hit before he was out caught behind for six by Dees wicket keeper Logan Eldridge off the bowling of Cameron Arnold.
This brought Rowan Frazer and McCallum together at 3-54 in the 13th over.
The pair got the Rhinos to the 20th over drinks break without loss adding 32 runs including four fours from McCallum.
The partnership lasted until the 23rd over, when Charlie McCallum was given out caught behind by Eldridge off the bowling of Dave Hercus.
Lachlan Marshall came to the crease and faced one ball before he was run out at the striker's end at the start of the next over.
This brought Darcy Finn to bat, who immediately showed his solid defensive technique.
He lost his batting partner, Frazer for 15 at the end of the 27th over, caught behind by Eldridge off Hercus’ bowling, flashing at a ball outside off to leave the Rhinos 6-107.
Finn then came together with Stephen Marshall.
The pair were measured with Marshall using his experience well.
The batters got to the 37th over where while looking to increase the run rate Marshall was out for 18 caught off the bowling of Fraser Pinnuck with the score at 7/141
Also looking for boundaries after one ball and two wides later Prem Muppidi was caught going aerial to mid-off without scoring.
Debutant Pisasale came to the crease and faced four balls in the 39th over but was out caught and bowled off Pinnuck not troubling the scorers.
The Rhinos final batter Archie Beehag combined well with Finn, and the pair achieved seven runs off the last eight balls of the innings to get the Rhinos to a respectable total of 9/152 off their 40 overs.
Looking to bowl well and get early wickets, the Rhinos had the perfect start provided by Prem Muppidi who had the Jerilderie opener Alex A’Vard bowled off the first ball.
While the run rate was high early, Muppidi had another wicket with Lachlan Eldridge caught by fill-in fielder Steve Baker at short mid-on to take the score to 2/22 at the start of the fifth over.
Two overs later Muppidi had two more wickets in two balls, getting Lawton caught by Steve and Grant-Patrick Smith LBW out consecutively to leave Jerilderie 4/30 after seven overs with new batter Oscar Kuzamba successfully keeping out the hat trick ball.
This wicket restricted Jerilderie’s scoring with McCallum the next wicket taker bowling Kuzamba who chopped on leaving Jerilderie at 5/54.
Four overs later McCallum got the big wicket of Jerilderie opening batter Rory Knight for 36 caught by wicket keeper Lachlan Marshall to have Jerilderie 6/64 midway through the seventeenth over.
Tubb was then rewarded for his spin bowling in the next over, getting Dan Eldridge bowled after a six the previous ball.
At the 20 over drinks break, the Rhinos had Jerilderie 7/83.
After the break, Beehag and Baker bowled some overs before opening bowler Lakmal returned, getting the breakthrough of Hercus caught by Beehag at cover in the 26th over.
Baker then had Pinnuck bowled in the 27th over.
Muppidi returned to the bowling crease to try to get his fifth wicket, but it was Lakmal who ended the Jerilderie innings, getting Lawton caught and bowled in the 32nd over.
This ended the Dees total at 10/98 leading to a 54 run win to the Rhinos.
It was the second win of the Rhinos B-grade season, led by contributions across the board including standout performances from Charlie McCallum with 34 runs and bowling figures of 2/10 and Prem Muppidi’s haul of 4/22 to get the Rhinos an important team win.
