Two days of practical learning and the chance to be up close with a professional rider was experienced by Deniliquin Motorcycle Club members at the weekend.

The club welcomed Joel Evans, a professional motocross/supercross racer from Queensland to the Deniliquin track.
Evans held a two day MX coaching school on Saturday and Sunday.
Riders learnt more about bike skills, body position, reading the track and speed.
Jack Hussy and Gus McBurnie from Deniliquin benefited from the coaching, while other participants travelled from Benella and Wodonga.
Evans said he finds “it easy to relate to the students in my coaching schools.”
“I am still currently racing, therefore I practice what I preach,” he said.
Deniliquin Motorcycle Club secretary/treasurer Andrew McBurnie ensured the track was well prepared and watered prior to the weekend.
Evans said the work that has gone into the track was evident.
“The track was challenging. The combination of natural dirt and sand that has been mixed in makes for perfect riding conditions when watered.”
The Deniliquin Motorcycle Club is still working on its calendar of ride days for the year.
