Rain delays Challen Cup round

Another wet weekend say play cancelled for Deniliquin Croquet Club on Sunday, including those contesting the Challen Cup.

The round will be played this Sunday instead.

On Wednesday, 10 brave souls turn up for croquet on a cold and foggy day.

Andy Davis prevailed with the lone three game win.

The two game achievers were Brad Fawns, Peter Whittakers and Terry Murphy.

There were five jump shots on the day including two by Andy Davis and one each by Brad Fawns, Peter Whittakers and Terry Murphy.

Rex Kernich scored a hoop-in-one shot.

John James had a successful day away from home, winning the social day competition at Kyabram.

The croquet winter time frame reverts to afternoon play from this Sunday, June 15.

Registrations will be from 12.30pm, for 1pm start of play.
