We started well in our clash against a very slick Rumbalara outfit, matching them in an impressive first quarter.
Our intensity, focus and clean ball movement allowed us to stick with one of the competition’s standout team and showed the potential within our group when we play our brand of netball.
In the second quarter, Rumbalara’s experience and execution saw the scoreboard begin to slip away from us.
Despite the growing margin, we continued to match them through the mid-court and worked hard to create opportunities.
However, we weren’t always able to convert our possession on the scoreboard, and we couldn’t fully capitalise on the few errors Rumbalara made.
One of the highlights of our performance was our ability to stay true to the team goals we had set for each quarter.
We focused on our own targets, not the scoreboard, and in doing so, continued to build the confidence we need heading into our final home and away match.
It was fantastic to see Bec Biggs back in vintage form, shooting with accuracy and confidence.
Amelia Seignior also continued her strong run of form, highlighting just how valuable a WD specialist is.
Emma Parks once again stood tall. Whether it was in defence or pushing hard into attack, she made the most of every opportunity and was a standout across the match.
Another highlight for the game was to see the return of crowd favourite Annie Harvey.

Amazing game this week from the whole team.
Scores were close all game, and level at a few points in the game, and the girls came together with some beautiful plays in the last quarter to run away with a five goal win.
Special shout out to Jade Hussey and Eliza Atley in the defensive ring for creating many turnovers.
Awards: Jade Hussey, Mia Jenkins, Eliza Atley.
C-Reserve: Rumbalara 76 def Rams 24.
C-Reserve went down 24 to 76 against Rumbalara this week.
While the scoreboard shows a big margin, it certainly didn’t feel like the Rams weren’t holding their own.
The girls fought hard but were simply outclassed by a slick and experienced Rumba side.
Lucy Dudley was brilliant through the mid-court. One of the smallest on the team, she makes up for it with incredible strength and determination, throwing herself into every contest and creating a huge presence on court.
Remy Henderson was outstanding in goals, not only with her accuracy but also her smart positioning and excellent game sense, making her a constant threat in the ring.
Grace McMahon had another impressive outing, proving herself a formidable WD, shutting down her opponent and then driving the ball strongly out of defence.
She even slipped into centre for a quarter and looked right at home in the role.
The scoreboard might not have been our friend this week, but the spirit on court was second to none.
The girls kept their heads up, kept chasing every ball, and had their teammates’ backs.

The girls had a fantastic first half, really showcasing the improvement they’ve made right across the court.
They have worked hard to build strong combinations with one another, and it was great to see that come to fruitions in their play.
Chloe Maher was outstanding in circle defence and truly came into her own when she turned defence into attack, even intercepting the centre pass.
Although Lexi Maher is small in stature she is a powerhouse through the mid-court and used her big engine and determination to drive her team forward.
The Captain’s Award went to Aleaha Leetham, who was impressive with her goal accuracy and then showed her versatility by seamlessly stepping into wing defence and excelling in that role as well.
