The Hawks certainly didn’t let our boys have it all our own way though and went toe to toe with the Rams for the first half.
The Rams found it difficult to find targets and get their run and carry game going early but managed to secure a 23 point lead at the main break.
The second half saw the boys settle into a more familiar game style and kick away from the hawks to run out 37 points winners in the end.
Final score: Deni 8.9 (57) to Barooga 3.2 (20).
Best Players: Sam Crossley, Charlie Bull, Chase Bartlett, Ted Wren, Archer Moodie, Archer Moodie, Rory Smith.

Fourths
Coming into Round 14 Rams were back at home against the Barooga Hawks.
In what was going to be a tight contest, the Rams needed a strong start.
In the first half Rams applied strong pressure, fast ball movement and great spread from the contest which Barooga couldn’t run with.
Ari, Logan and Bentley gave us first use in the midfield with clean, quick hands and work rate to keep the ball going forward.
This gave our forward line the opportunity to kick plenty of goals.
Max Burge was a strong target up the field, with damaging plays of aerial marks and sharing of the footy to bring his teammates into the game.
Rams were leading 67-3 at halftime.
The second half saw every player can a chance to play in a different position.
The Rams started to link up, hit short kicks and use each other across the ground. Bentley and Jack were the connection going forward from the wing.
They were both damaging with run, foot skills and evasion which saw Bentley snagged himself two goals.
It was great to see our younger players get amongst the action, with Jaxon Ives kicking two goals and Lachie McDonald kicking a goal.
Rams kicked two goals in the last quarter to get over the line by 83 points.

Under-12’s
U12’s travelled to Gunbower on Friday night to take on Leitchville-Gunbower in Round 10 of the GMJL.
Clean possessions were hard to come by in dewy conditions, the boys did well to keep the ball in the forward 50 for much of the game but struggled in the congestion to convert.
Will Thomas returned after a four week break, doing a great job assisting with a significant amount of the ruck work.
Chase Dun was solid in defense and Charlie Murray ran hard all game and was involved in many great team passages, along with midfielder Nate Fitzpatrick.
The young rams were up all game but the young Leitchville-Gunbower side did well to keep them goalless in the last half.
Final Score: Rams 3.6 (24) def Leitchville-Gunbower 1.0 (6)
Goal Kickers: Nate Fitzpatrick, Will Crossley, Fletcher Smith (1).

With assistant Mick 'Sheeds' Farley taking the reins in the absence of head coach Jack, the Rams' youngest brigade put on a fine display of running football under the lights at the Echuca Bombers oval on Friday night.
The smell of KFC was in the air and helped inspire the boys to seven goals for the match, with Levi Robson putting on a fine display to slot three sausage rolls and be named best on ground and collecting the Acre Town Planning Award.
Jake Woolston and Asher Parsons each kicked clever snap goals which were highlights of the night, with Jake receiving the McDonald's award.
