Tim Hillier will occupy the role of president, while Anthony Bradley will take on vice president and Brad Todd will hold the role of secretary.
The committee was very happy to see so many in attendance and look forward to their support across the season.
In other exciting news for the club, three returning players have signed on for the 2023-2024 season.
Brenton Loudon will return to the Rhinos after a successful stint in Sydney, which included first grade district matches for Penrith CC.
Loudon is a fast opening bowler, top order batsman and dynamic in the field.
His best performance in first grade was a four wicket haul against Fairfield Liverpool, and one of his wickets was Australian one day representative Gurinder Sandhu.
Other career highlights included being a member of the Rhinos 2013-14 one day premiership.
“Welcome home Brenton,” the club said.
Andrew Hogan and Jonty Tubb are also coming home to re-join the Rhinos.
Hogan had last season off due to injury but is now fit and ready to play.
He has played more than 100 A-grade games for the Rhinos and is a premiership player and a MVCA Best and Fairest (Guthrie Medal) winner.
Hogan returns as one of the best batsman in the league.
The Rhinos have described Tubb’s return as a “major boost for the club”.
He is a handy wicketkeeper, having previously represented the MVCA at Bendigo Country Week.
He will also give the Rhinos extra batting depth.
“Jonty is a great clubman who has been missed.
“Welcome back to Hoges and Tubby,” the club said.
Bradley said the club is hoping to announce “a few more new recruits in the coming weeks”.
“Any recruit is exciting, but to have these three local boys are all great cricketers and even better blokes, It is the best part of getting them back.
“They are also in the perfect age bracket to keep all the other young blokes keen.”
Further updates from the club regarding junior cricket are also pending.
The first training run will be on Sunday, August 20 at the Deniliquin Basketball Stadium starting at 10am.
