Seniors coach Alex Hay expects to welcome Adam Bodey, Brady Trotman and Peter Lewis back into the fold, although Harry Turner and Terry Lumbar will be missing from the side.
“In the past we haven't always responded well after having a week off, so that has been a focus at training - to try and simulate some of that match day intensity,” Hay said.
“I'm sure that we'll be fresh and ready to go.”
The Rovers are still on a high after claiming their fifth successive Warner Tasker Cup in round four against Blighty.
They will take that confidence, and the skills shown during the rivalry match, into the play against Rennie tomorrow.
“I thought that our work on the outside of the contest was really good, particularly in the second half of the game.
“I think we showed that if we can move the ball with purpose and get quick entries that we are able to score quite heavily.
“Our start was poor, which against a side like Rennie can have you playing catch up football which we will need to rectify this weekend.
“We're trying a few variations to our ball movement, particularly on how we can control the tempo of the game a little bit more.
“This has been looking at field position and understanding the role that each of us play in creating space depending on where the ball is on the ground.
“Hopefully we can implement some of that this weekend.”
Hay said Rennie are always a really tough team to play, especially on their home deck.
But she said with a whole team effort, another win could be on the cards for the Roos.
“They (Rennie) have been playing some pretty good footy, but I'm confident that if we can play our brand for four quarters then we are capable of beating anyone,” Hay said.
“Rennie has always boasted a strong midfield with the addition of Cam Sudholz who we'll have to put some time into.
“Chase Strawhorn has been a dominant forward in country footy for a long period of time, and he seems to have started off the year really strongly.
“It'll be a real challenge to minimise his impact during the game so we'll do the best we can there.
“We need to try to control the ball through the middle of the ground and cut off their clean ball movement into their forward 50.
“We have a number of rotations moving through the midfield this week which is pleasing and will hopefully assist in that area.
“I won't be looking for any individuals to get us over the line this week. There will be a number of roles across the ground that will be really important in getting us into a position where we can win the game.
“We've had lapses in every game this year so far, which is something that everyone is responsible for and something that we need to get right if we're to have a chance on the weekend.”
The Rovers will round out their weekend by hosting a comedy show at Memorial Park on Sunday.
It will feature Tom Siegert, known for his stand up and Suburban Footballer skits.
Starting at noon, the day will include a barbecue and the bar will be open.
