With a big season ahead, the Rhinos are again entering two senior teams.
But this season it will enter the A-grade and B-grade competitions, following a grand final appearance in the A-grade and a second consecutive premiership in C-grade last season.
Tomorrow, the round one one-day fixtures begin.
The A-grade side play against the Katamatite Tigers in a 45-over fixture, from 12.30pm at Katamatite, in the seven-team competition.
The Rhinos A-grade side had a better season last year than Katamatite.
The Tigers only managed to win one two-day match the sides played against each other last season, with the one-day fixture abandoned due to wet weather.
The Rhinos have retained much of their grand final side that lost by three wickets to Cobram, including last season’s league leading run-scorer Griegan French.
A UK import last year, he decided to stay on in Deniliquin after the season’s end.
The side will also welcome the addition of league rising star Rory Bartlett from Berrigan.
A number of dedicated Rhinos with skill will also play for the side again this year.
Departures from the team include star all-rounder Brodie Bennett to Cohuna Cricket Club in the Goulburn Murray Cricket Association, and last season’s league leading wicket taker and international import Matt Taylor.
The Rhinos had signed Welshman Chris Van Os to join the club from overseas this year, but he has had to decline the offer at the last minute due to injury.
Chris Pyle is one of the Rhinos’ C-grade stars moving up to B-grade this year. Pyle was last year’s C-grade grand final man of the match.
After narrowly missing out on finals, Katamatite is making a move under new co-coaches Ben Lukies and Rohan Allport.
Brandon Nicholls will skipper the A-grade side, while Katty has also added Corowa big hitter Lachlan Raggett and Irish batters Ewan Wilson and Jude Keates.
The availability of leading wicket taker Kepler Lukies, who snared 36 over the course of the 2024/25 campaign, looks unclear with Melbourne and Victorian under-19 commitments set to keep the rising star busy.
The Rhinos B-grade side also open their campaign in the 40 over, eight team competition against Katamatite from 1pm tomorrow in Deniliquin at Memorial Park.
The side is likely to feature many of the club’s C-grade premiership team from last season.
They will be seeking to collect more silverware in 2026, in a higher level of competition.
