Three Deniliquin cricketers have been selected to represent the Southern Riverina in another cricket tournament, after demonstrating their skills at the Junior Country Week tournaments last week.

The Southern Riverina Cricket Council will field teams in the under-14s Geoff Lawson Cup tournament and the under-16s Warren Smith Cup tournament.
Selected from Deni to play in the under-16s is Hamish Baker and Charlie McCallum.
Ted Wren was chosen for the under-14s.
All selected were chosen for their brilliant exploits for the Murray Valley Cricket Association representative sides across Junior Country Week.
Deniliquin’s Harry Hillier will also represent Deni as the under-16s co-coach.
The Geoff Lawson Cup runs over seven weekends, including one bye.
Games are played on Sundays.
The first game is scheduled for January 28 at Barooga from 10.30am.
The Warren Smith Cup is a shorter tournament, only lasting three weeks.
Also played on Sundays, the first game is January 28.
In addition to the regular cup games, there will be a grand final for the under-16s.
Charlie McCallum has been selected for the under-16s Warren Smith Cup tournament.
Ted Wren is the sole Deni selection for the under-14s side.
