Corowa will now enter the 2026 O&M season with 50 Player Points System points - an additional 5 points than they were given in August.
The Corowa Football Netball Club and Wahgunyah Football Netball Club will have the capability to recruit a player from the VFL or higher leagues respectively after securing additional player points for the 2026 season.

AFL North East Border (AFLNEB) confirmed in late August, the Player Points System (PPS) and Allowable Player Payment (APP) Caps for the 2026 season.
After the announcement, clubs were given the opportunity to apply for additional points with the applications assessed in accordance with the AFL Victoria PPS Policy and AFLNEB By Laws.
Each application was considered against an established criteria to determine the cap, along with each clubs individual circumstances taken into consideration.
Wahgunyah will hold the most amount of points for the Tallangatta and District Football Netball League also with 50, an additional 4 points added.
In allocating additional points, only clubs who Made submissions were eligible and considered with clubs informed that the additional points only apply to season 2026. After consideration Corowa will now enter the 2026 season with 50PPS - an additional 5 points than they were given in August, whilst Wahgunyah will hold the most for the Tallangatta and District Football Netball League also with 50, an additional 4 points added.
In regards to the salary cap, the Ovens and Murray FNL will next year have a cap of $137,500 while the Tallangatta and District FNL will have a salary cap of $76,500.
