Rovers will be taking on Strathmerton at home at Memorial Park on Saturday, which coach Alex Hay said will be another challenge for the side.
“Strathy have been a great side and a great club for a number of years,” he said.
“Their sustained success is probably the envy of the league so this week will be another great challenge which we are looking forward to.”
Hay said the side will need to deliver a four quarter performance to ensure a win.
“We're optimistic about our chances this weekend, but realise that it will take a four quarter performance which we haven't been able to produce yet,” he said.
“We can still see that there are some areas for improvement which we're working hard to rectify, but barring the performance on the weekend we feel like we have given ourselves the opportunity to win.”
Jack O’Callaghan will be out this week after injuring his hamstring in last week’s game, which Hay said will be a big loss after he was hitting some good form.
But Hay is confident in the number of guys who have been playing well in the seconds and will be able to step up to fill the spot.
James Falcone and Raymond Murphy will both return this week, which Hay said will be a big boost and will give the side some much needed rotations through the middle of the ground.
“Playing four quarters of football will be our main focus.
“It sounds simple, but the lapses within games are what's really hurting us at the moment, so if we get that right I'm confident that our best football will be able to challenge.”
