A dominant third quarter helped the Rovers secure a commanding win over Rennie at Memorial Park on Saturday.
Rovers played clean, clinical netball throughout, with the defensive unit forcing errors and capitalising on loose passes.
Natalie Sampson was outstanding once again, recording 16 positive turnovers, each one delivered with trademark composure and a smile.
Hazel Glowrey continued her consistent form, providing energy and drive through the centre, while Pip Metcalfe slotted seamlessly back into the mid-court after her travels, further strengthening Rovers’ transitional play.
It was a strong all-round team performance, with the third term proving the difference in a comprehensive win.

B-grade: Deni Rovers 58 def Rennie 22.
Rovers returned to the winner’s list with a confident 36-point victory over Rennie, in a match that, despite the final margin, remained competitive and was played in great spirit by both sides.
Rovers’ new combinations are beginning to settle, with shooters Brittany Edwards and Lainey Blake delivering their most effective performance of the season.
The pair were well supported by mid-courters Phoebe Jefferies, Sienna Jenkins, and Bae Willis, who provided accurate and composed delivery into the circle.
In defence, Rovers continued their season-long dominance, led by Georgia McCulloch, whose vertical leap consistently shut down Rennie’s attacking options.
Bell McIlwain, Erika Martin and Sophie Dudley also played key roles in disrupting the opposition’s forward momentum.
Coach Tim Van Lieshout will use the remaining rounds to trial further combinations, aiming to ensure the team enters finals from a position of strength.

C-gGrade had a slow start to the game, possibly due to nerves following a tough loss the previous week.
With the scores level at quarter time, the girls lifted in the second quarter, delivering their strongest performance of the match.
Brittany Kirby was instrumental, providing calm and experienced leadership on court.
Her decision-making, especially when feeding into the attacking circle, was exceptional and helped guide the team forward with confidence.
Matilda Glowrey continued her reliable and consistent form, applying pressure at every opportunity with tips, intercepts, and tight defensive coverage, a key contributor across the court.
The attacking end showed great versatility, with positional changes flowing seamlessly.
Meanwhile, the defenders continue to cement their style of play, delivering with pressure and clear intent.
Heading into the next two weeks, the team will focus on achieving solid starts to maintain momentum across all four quarters.

C-res continues to show that consistency on the court is key to winning games, delivering another four quarters of composed and dominant netball in a commanding victory.
Monty Jones was dynamic in the ring defence, notching up an impressive eight intercepts in the first half alone — all of which resulted in goals, thanks to the shooters’ accurate conversions.
Monty’s athleticism and ability to read the play earned her the Players’ Player award.
The team’s adaptability also shone through, with positional changes and combinations having no negative impact on the flow of the game.
Transitions were seamless, underpinned by strong team trust and communication.
Millie Joice was flawless in goals, shooting at 100 per cent accuracy before moving into wing attack, where she drove hard into the ring and used her shooter’s insight to deliver perfectly placed feeds.
Her versatility and impact earned her the Stronger Minds award.
Jemma Kerr applied relentless defensive pressure in wing defence across three quarters, consistently disrupting the opposition’s play.
Her commitment and work rate earned her the RSL Award.

In Saturday’s match against Rennie, the Rovers delivered an exceptional performance, showcasing strength, speed and smart strategy across all four quarters.
Isabell Macknight played a fearless, fast-paced game, transitioning seamlessly from defence to attack and delivering pinpoint passes.
Bae Willis was instrumental in moving the ball swiftly through the court and remained calm under pressure in the shooting circle, confidently converting her opportunities.
Eve Meharry brought relentless defensive pressure, forcing crucial turnovers that the team capitalised on.
Well done to the girls on a fantastic game, and thank you to Rennie for a great contest.

With our entire squad back on the court this week, the girls took a lot of confidence into the game.
Full court defence was the goal this week and the team put on a wonderful display creating pressure and causing turnover after turnover.
Strong passes through the mid-court allowed our shooters to focus on their work in the goal ring, their accuracy improving throughout the game.
Nina Glowrey was a standout in defence, wearing her player like a backpack and creating chaos for the Rennie attack end.
Marlie Mison was again dominant in attack with incredible drives onto the circle edge and feeding pinpoint into the goalers.

The girls faced a tough challenge against Rennie, securing the win.
Shooters Madison Danckert, Isabella Didcock and Madeline Woolston worked with great chemistry in the shooting end to make space and score goals.
Isabelle Goodear stepped up into circle defence, working hard to shut down her opponent.
The girls continue to build their team unity and cohesion in the lead up to finals.

Despite the chilly conditions, the Rovers stepped on to the court full of energy and determination.
After a strong start, the team worked beautifully together, moving the ball down the court with confidence and teamwork.
Both shooters were on target, showing great focus and accuracy with their shots.
The defensive effort was just as impressive, with players applying pressure all over the court and making it tough for the opposition to find space.
It was a fantastic team performance, full of effort, enthusiasm and great sportsmanship.
