After a week off, the Deniliquin Rovers senior side will take on Rennie at Memorial Park on Saturday for round 10 of the Picola and District Football League.
Coach Alex Hay said the team was feeling refreshed and rearing to go for the clash.
“I know the guys are keen to get back out there and attack the second half of the year,” he said.
Nick Sheldon and Jack O’Callaghan will be back after a few weeks on the sideline, which Hay said would really help their rotations and provide some strong guidance on the field.
Despite its position on the ladder, Hay said Rennie would be and always was a dangerous side to take on.
“They have some quality players that have played at a really high level, which is always an exciting challenge,” he said.
Rovers are still suffering the loss of a few key players with longer term injuries, but have a couple coming back into the side which Hay said was a nice change.
Hay said while he felt like a broken record the side had to produce a four-quarter performance to ensure a win.
“We have been close to it in a number of games this year, but it’s been five to six minutes within a game that has determined the result, so that is certainly the focus.”
