It was a lovely sunny day, but the wind played havoc for most of the game .
The team of Niels Hilton, Jo Chick, John Wilson and Craig Taylor were in front most of the day, and ended up winning 21 to 17 .
Rod Reid, Lyn Hardcastle, Chris Frampton and Archie Webster had a tense struggle only to go down by one shot on the last end, 18 to 17.
Miro Peterman, Allan Hodges, Ian McKenzie and Neville Austin came up against an extremely high class Moama team.
They got thumped at the start, and were never able to make any ground, going down 35 to 15.
Overall the Diggers teams did themselves very proud, but Moama were just a bit too good on the day.
Next week we play at home against Echuca.
We will be fielding three solid teams, with the expectation of getting back on the winner’s list.
It will be exciting welcoming Peter Harris back for his first game for the RSL for quite a while, and Jimmy Jennings after a long layoff due to injury.
