Division 2 defeated ladder leaders Echuca 67-57 to consolidate their third placed ladder position, while Division 3 moved into the four with a vital two shot win at home, 36-34, also against Echuca.
The importance of the contribution of each side on the day was clearly exemplified by Division 2, only winning on one of the three rinks, but taking the ladder leaders out by 10 shots overall in a great team effort.
With Mary Anne Spizer (s), Jenny Tonta, Wayne Bradley and Miro Peterman finishing early, down 20-22, and the Diggers still 10 shots down overall, the remaining two games proved telling.
Tony Tonta (s), James Rhook, Chris Frampton and Ian Chessells had struggled early but found their feet, grabbing 14 shots in the latter stages, including seven vital shots on the last two ends.
Echuca won overall, 22-16.
Linda Harris led her team of Jim Jennings, Craig Taylor and Gaye Goodwin superbly to an emphatic 31-13 victory, including a three on the final end.
The combined late game efforts of team Tonta and Harris provided the 10 shots buffer for a great win overall.
Division 3, at home against Echuca, faced a must win game to keep their finals chances alive.
They responded accordingly, winning a tight contest by just two shots overall to win 36-34 and move into fourth spot on the ladder.

Ron Marchetti (s), Gary Hulm, Ken Bowden, and Allan Hodges found the going tough.
