The Deniliquin RSL Bowling club had two wins and a loss in round 13 of bowls in the Campaspe Valley Bowls Association weekend pennant action.
Division 2 had a win at home against their neighbours at the Deniliquin Bowling Club.
Division 4 were too strong away against Lockington, and Division 5 went down away against Kyabram.
DIVISION 2:
RSL 69 won on two rinks by 23 shots overall against Deniliquin Bowling Club 46.
Tony Tonta (skip), with his team of Jacob Glenn, Cheryl Bradley, and Archie Webster were well paced, leading 17-12 after 16 ends.
The opposition found their range over the latter stages of the match, scoring 10 shots to two to secure victory.
Bowling Club 22 def RSL 19.
Rod Reid (s), Wayne Bradley, Lindsay Dalzell and Alan Hodges had a decisive victory in their game.
They led 7-5 from the fifth end, and were ever headed from there.
They took another 18 shots to four for a 16 shot winning margin.
RSL 25 def Bowling Club 9.
The combination of Craig Taylor (s), Ian McKenzie, Ian Chessells and Jenny Tonta had a comfortable win, taking 15 of the 21 ends on the day.
They led throughout, scoring consistently to never allowing their opponents into the game.

DIVISION 4:
RSL 42 def Lockington 23, RSL winning on both rinks.
Bruce Clancy (s), Peter Liefting, Sandra Hill and Peter Thommers had a comfortable win.
They led throughout to secure a great victory in a great team effort.
RSL 23 def Lockington 10.
Jim Jenning’s team of Graeme Gordon, Brian Clancy and Ron Hulme staged a great comeback to take their game.
They were down 11-13 with three ends to play, but grabbed eight shots for a thrilling win.
RSL 19 def Lockington 13.
DIVISION 5:
Kyabram 53 def RSL 38, with both teams finishing with one rink win apiece.
Ron Marchetti’s team of Neville Austin, Pater Todd and Callan Glenn had a real struggle in their match.
The scores were tied 19-all after 19 ends, but RSL took the last two ends for a great win.
RSL 22 def Kyabram 19.
Bruce Ferry (s), Robyn Ferry, James Rhook and Vic Whittaker’s team had a tough day against an accomplished Kyabram combination.
Ends were shared but a run of high scoring ends by their opponents proved the difference.

In the midweek pennant played on Friday, RSL were at home against Ky Valley View.
RSL 66 def Ky Valley View 41, with RSL winning on two rinks.
Tony Tonta (s), Ian McKenzie, Cheryl Bradley and Glenys Chessells had a solid win.
They led throughout the match, always maintaining a comfortable buffer.
Glenys Chessells continued her great form, leading beautifully throughout.
RSL 23 def Ky Valley View 16.
John Wilson (s), Craig Taylor, Miro Peterman and Lyn Hardcastle went shot-for-shot in their game.
Level at 15-all after 15 ends, the dour struggle continued.
Ky Valley took four singles to two for victory.
Ky Valley View 15 def RSL 13.
Wayne Bradley (s), Jenny Tonta, Ian Chessells and Joanne King had the best result of the day on their rink.
Tonta skipped confidently and with all players contributing throughout, they secured a decisive 20 shot win.
