Recognised as the 1985 and 1986 Deniliquin Junior Sportsperson of the Year, Scott Cleaver is still heavily committed and successful in the sport of water ski racing.
And it has recently taken him to new heights, as he is about to tick off a world stage goal.
Scott’s achievements as a skier continue as the owner/driver of Supernova race boats.
Living in Hervey Bay, Queensland, it is no mean feat for him to transport his boat to the premier Murray River long-distance races at Wentworth, Mildura, Robinvale, Moama/Echuca, as well as Wagga and Lake Mulwala and the Hawkesbury River near Sydney to achieve continuing success.
Whilst Scott, during his ski racing career, has achieved a number of state and national titles both as a skier and driver, one of his long-held ambitions has recently been achieved.
In a never before accomplished feat, Supernova racers Emma Williams and Copper Robertson have both qualified to represent Australia in the World Water Ski Racing Titles to be held on the NSW Central Coast this November.
Williams is the open women champion, and Robertson is the open men’s champion.
