A special thank you to Leigh Holmberg who was driving Rolco (the beginners’ boat) and his observer Chloe McKnight for teaching the new kids the basics of water skiing.
They made them feel safe and supported, whilst building their confidence, knowledge and skills.
Leigh is a great teacher – positive, calm and extremely patient.
Andrew McBurnie and Carrissa Holmberg manned the Gilflite – a boat for more advanced skiers to improve their skills and techniques.
A big congratulations to Angus Priest, who was given an award for his continuous attendance at ski school over a number of years and who confidently uses his slalom ski.
Newcomer Michelle Silva, aged six, was presented with an award.
Michelle has made fantastic progress and her determination, balance, and coordination on the boom bar is impeccable.
Club members look forward to seeing your progress over the season.
Logan Littmann, aged eight, finished the night on an all-time high by successfully skiing behind Rolco using two skies with the stabilizing bar.
Logan should be very proud of this achievement as it was his first attempt at skiing behind the boat.
Ski School runs every Friday night from 5pm.
Anyone interested in joining - kids or adults - must be a member of the Deniliquin boat club.
Once a member you can book via the web page - www.deniboatclub.com.
