The Deniliquin Stadium Men’s Basketball competition winner was decided last Wednesday night with the grand final played between Tune Squad and Goon Squad.

There was a vocal crowd watching in the stands as Tune Squad defeated Goon Squad 53-30.
Goon Squad points: Bobby Hall 11, Lachlan Marshall 10, Matthew Johnson 5, Bruce Maunganidze 4.
Grand Final MVP: Brett Macdonald (Tune Squad).
The game was refereed by Peter Howley and Richenda Everett, who stadium manager John Arthur thanked sincerely.
“The game would not be able to go ahead without their support,” he said.
“Thank you also to the teams who had to do a bit of a re-shuffle for the comp to progress.
“Also to the inclusion of the Filipino team, who were energetic and a really fantastic addition to our men’s competition.”
At the conclusion of the grand final, season presentation were held.
Shane McGrath from Tune Squad was named the season’s Best and Fairest with 16 voted throughout the competition.
Runner-up was Kaileb Wilson from Goon Squad with 12 votes.
Equal third were Chris Spinner (Tune Squad) and Louie Dumagiung (Filipinos) with nine votes, followed by Matthew Johnson from Goon Squad with eight votes.
