It was another nail biter finish for the Diggers.
After 63 ends, Moama were victorious with 64 shots to Deni RSL’s 59.
Ron Marchetti’s team of Max Connor, Neville Austin and Tony King led until the 18th end, when Moama put the pressure on and steamed home to take the win 20-17.
Rod Reid had Brian Clancy leading in his first game of the season, followed by Sandra Hill and Archie Webster.
They had a struggle all afternoon, going down to a superb Moama 4, with final scores being 30-13.
The pressure was then on Niels Hilton’s team of Jake Glenn, John Wilson and Craig Taylor.
Glenn was superb in his first game of the season with his beloved Diggers, and outbowled his opposition.
Wilson and Taylor followed up beautifully, and Hilton sealed their win of 15 shots with some freakish bowls. Final score was 29-14.
