Jessie Hamner and Steph Barry worked tirelessly in defence, applying relentless pressure to the Katamatite goal circle.
In the mid-court, Amelia Hay, Erica Nicholls, and Meagan Lowry delivered the ball beautifully into Ash Charlton and Monique Toppin, allowing their connection in the goal circle to continue to grow.
Stevie Bateman also contributed strongly, shooting some beautiful goals in the first quarter.
Erica stepped into goalkeeper for a short stint, showing her versatility and proving she’s not just a mid-court player.
Each week, the girls continue to build pressure on their opponents, developing stronger connections and growing in confidence as a team.

B-grade: Blighty 22 def by Katamatite 61.
The ladies showed significant improvement this week, particularly during the second and third quarters.
Milly Hamner stepped into B-grade and had a tremendous game in defence, applying consistent pressure and picking up key intercepts and rebounds.
Tara McCrae made her debut for Blighty in wing attack, and had an immediate impact with her energy and presence on court.
Krystle Winter worked tirelessly in wing defence, applying pressure throughout and providing strong re-offers down the court.
The goal circle proved versatile and effective.
It was a true team effort, and the growth shown on court was clear to see.

C-grade; Blighty 12 def by Katamatite 57.
On a chilly day, Blighty faced a strong Katamatite side, but the girls never gave up and showed true grit right to the final whistle.
In the goal ring, Emma Brain and Rachel Bucholtz worked hard under pressure, with Alena Lamour stepping in for the final quarter and making an immediate impact with some impressive shooting.
Defensively, Ruby Williams, Chook Watson, Grace Macdonald, and Amelia Fraser gave it their all, pushing themselves to keep up with a fast-paced opposition and fighting for every ball.
In the mid-court, Mikayla Collie and Ciara D’Aprile were relentless. Ciara’s versatility shone through as she adapted across multiple positions, always bringing energy and determination.
While the result didn’t go our way, the effort and fight were there, and that win is just around the corner.

C-reserve: Blighty 13 def by Katamatite 39.
With a cold breeze blowing and rain on the horizon, it took the girls a little while to find their rhythm.
Despite the conditions and a tough opponent, the team showed impressive determination and effort from start to finish - something the scoreboard doesn’t always reflect.
In defence, Sarah Bain, Lara Elphinstone, Grace Ingram and Shelby Hislop worked tirelessly to keep Katamatite’s attack in check, creating countless turnovers and intercepts. Their relentless pressure kept us in the contest.
The ever-reliable Chris Hall was a force in the mid-court, combining beautifully with Sarah Nihill and Lauryn Bond to transition the ball with speed and precision.
In the goal ring, Alena Lamour and Grace Reid continued to build on their strong connection, applying consistent pressure and teamwork in attack.
These girls train hard week in and week out, and it really shows in their commitment and teamwork on game day. You should all be proud!

Under-17s: Blighty 67 def Katamatite 21.
Blighty started strong and never looked back, claiming a huge win over Katamatite.
Strength in the ring was our winning factor, led by Sammy Watson.
Amelia Hay even had a run in GS and proved she is adaptable anywhere and certainly accurate!
Belle Gordon once again put in a solid effort in defence. She was backed by Issy Pearn and Emily Harvey.
It was an all-round huge team effort, and all deserved an award.

Under-15s: Blighty 29 def Katamatite 13.
The Redeyes came out strong and energised for a great match against the Katamatite Tigers.
The first quarter consisted of smooth passages of plays, brilliant goals and immense pressure in defence.
The girls sustained a generous margin on the scoreboard, which led us to our first win of the season!
Milla Bode played amazingly, showcasing her improved skills with clean intercepts and continuous pressure.
Eliza Weir and Lena Seely kept the defence strong down the court in GD and WD.
On the opposite end, the attackers worked hard all game to create great plays and movement in the third.
All the girls played the role they needed to on the court to secure the win.
We had great learning experiences and improvement down the court, from our strong drives to our passes.

Under-13s: Blighty 29 def Katamatite 18.
Blighty put on a strong performance to claim a win over Katamatite, in an impressive display of teamwork and determination.
From the first centre pass, Blighty took control of the game with quick passes, tight defence, and accurate shooting.
Young mid-court players Isla Andrews and Myah Gazarra worked tirelessly to create opportunities, while Kaydnce Sibraa stepped into defence, applying strong pressure to limit Katamatite’s scoring chances.
Indi Bain stepped up in goals, showing skill and smart play to create goal opportunities.
Katamatite fought hard and never gave up, showing great spirit and patches of excellent play, but Blighty’s consistency and communication across the court proved the difference.
It was a great team effort from Blighty, with all players contributing to the well-earned victory.

This week the Minis came up against the Katamatite Tigers for a great game of netball in the freezing weather.
Every one of the girls tried their hardest and pushed through the cold morning.
Millie Bucholtz faced a small setback in the first couple of minutes of the game, but she didn’t let it stop her.
She came back stronger then ever, playing some really amazing netball.
Keira Lankcow played super well in defence, sticking tight with her opponent and getting her hands to many balls.
