The coaches are instilling specific directions and valuable skills each game and there were three focuses on Saturday.
First was ‘lead forward’, whereby players are taking initiative and moving towards the ball, showing assertiveness and drive.
Secondly was ‘put a name on it’, encouraging players to effectively communicate on the court by calling out plays or positions to teammates, fostering teamwork and coordination.
The other was ‘shadowing’, which involves closely following an opponent, keeping them in your defensive sight to anticipate their moves and block their plays.
These skills not only enhance individual performance but also contribute to the team's overall success.
It's wonderful to see young netballers learning and growing in their sport.
