The move was confirmed on Monday night, after the club defected to the Murray League for the 2023 season.
The Bloods made that decision in an effort to “remain affiliated with AFL Victoria and the benefits that come with the affiliation”.
It was a tough season for Toc, who finished second to last on the bottom of the league ladder with only one win to their name - in round nine against Rumbalara, 15.13 (103) to 5.4( 24).
A reason for the move back to Picola has not yet been made public.
The Tocumwal club executive is yet to respond to requests for comment.
Picola Football Netball League general manager Shane Railton would not discuss the decision in detail when contacted, but said he was happy to welcome Tocumwal back into the fold.
“Tocumwal and the Picola League are looking to simply move forward, and given the last few months we are hoping to have a pretty stable year (in 2024).”
Before confirming its move back into Picola, the Tocumwal Football Club set about firming up its leadership team for the next season.
