Division 1 travelled to Echuca and were soundly beaten 45 shots to 65.
Rob Morris’ rink including Mick Atley, David Hessel and Shane Laing won their match 20 shots to 12, but Jamie Shields lost 16-25, as did Conway Bovell’s side 9-28.
Division 2 had a solid win at home against Echuca when they prevailed 55 shots to 49.
Tony Tonta’s team won by three shots, while Joanne Bovell’s side was defeated by the same amount.
The difference was the final combination of Bruce Clancy (skip), Ella Hipworth, Chris Taylor and Paul Snare who won 22-16 to ensure the overall six shot winning margin.
Division 3 travelled to Echuca, and despite winning on two of the three rinks they eventually succumbed, 57 shots to 62.
Ken Salter called the shots for Mike Donohue, Tom Todd and Jill Grimshaw on their way to a five shot victory, and Mark Law’s crew won by two shots.
Unfortunately Keith Hay’s rink was beaten 17-29, which left Deni five shots adrift at the end.
After being crowned Division 5 champions last year, Deniliquin has started this season on the right note, albeit with an extra team in this division this year.
The White team had a narrow, two shot win over Echuca, 41-39.
Tony King’s side went down 17 shots to 28, but Lee Pattinson (s), Robyn Little, Lindsay Dalzell and Helen Anderson scored a comfortable 24-11 win to make it an overall two shot victory.
It was a similar scenario for the Blue team when they defeated Moama, 35-31.
Alan Hardcastle’s rink lost 14-20, but Col Knuckey led his crew to a good 10 shot victory and maintained the overall four shot margin.

Taylor Made Trebles runners-up Rob Morris, John Muray and Mick Atley.
The five week, 10 team round robin tournament at the Deniliquin Bowling Club as a lead-in to this season’s pennant competition was finalised on Thursday.
The brainchild of Mick Atley - who must be applauded for not only his vision, but his unrelenting drive to make it work - the concept has been a resounding success for the club.
The Bowling Club lost two avid bowlers and staunch clubmen immediately preceding the competition, when Stuart Treble and Terry Taylor suddenly passed away.
As it was going to be a triples format, in deference to both men, and with respectful acknowledgment, the club decided to call it the ‘Taylor Made Trebles’, and all players embraced it.
After the ninth and final match on Thursday, it was the team of Rob Morris, Mick Atley and John Murray which finished on top, albeit only on percentage from Peter Chadderton, Chris Taylor and Lloyd Ritchie.
Those two then played off for the inaugural title of Taylor Made Trebles champions, and fittingly it was Chris Taylor, the wife of the late Terry, who claimed the spoils with her teammates.
They collected $750 for their efforts, while the Morris crew snared $450 as runners-up.
Steve O’Brien, Ella Hipworth and Mark Tasker shared $150 after they outpointed Steve King, Graham Nisbet and Bill Young in the play off for third place.
The club is again indebted to Maria and Peter Strongman from the White Lion Hotel for their generous sponsorship of the tournament.
It is hoped that the tradition will continue as a build up to the start of next season’s pennant competition.
