Tune Squad won the men’s basketball premiership on Wednesday night, defeating Goon Squad by 20 points.

The win continues the recent domination for Tune Squad, having won the last six premierships.

Tune Squad’s last loss was in the January 2021 grand final to the Jack Tyndall captained Globe Hotel.

The game was very tight early with both teams trading baskets.

Myles Amor (Tune Squad) was dominant in the first half, using his height and athleticism to great affect.

Amor’s ten points in the first half was matched by the efforts of Isaac Suckling (Goon Squad) with nine.

Tune Squad enjoyed an 11 point lead at half-time.

Boddie Arthur (Tune Squad) dominated the defensive backboard with over a dozen rebounds.

Shane McGrath (Tune Squad) maintained the pressure and added another ten points in the second half for a match total of 16.

The award winners were announced at the presentation.

Reece Hussey (IGA Reds) won the league best and fairest with 17 votes.

Hussey has had an amazing season polling votes in six of the ten rounds, including two byes.

Isaac Suckling (Goon Squad) was the dominant point scorer with 157 points, averaging over 20 points per game.

Jake Parsons (Tune Squad) is known for his three point shooting abilities and took out the award with an incredible 18.
