FOOTBALL
Reserves:
After a loss last week, the boys looked calm and collected.
Minds were on what they had to do, and do it they did.
The Rams came out kicking four goals in the first with skipper Jake ‘Chino’ Cavallaro leading the way with the attack on the footy.
The second quarter saw Deni going into the wind, going inside their 50 three times, but only converting once buoyed the Deni defenders.
Deni continued hunting the ball.
If they could stifle the opposition’s run by pressuring in numbers they would get the job done.
The third quarter was another dominant performance with a few more goals as a buffer, with the Rams going in to the final quarter with a 51-point lead.
Having the wind in the last and having nothing to lose, Congupna tried to mount a final comeback.
To the Rams’ credit, they kept a cool head and came away with the victory.
