Today was a true team effort as we faced a well-polished Dookie side. Everyone dug deep to slow their momentum.
Maddie Charlton stepped up into A-grade and slotted in seamlessly.
The defence worked tirelessly all game, applying pressure and testing their defensive skills against a strong attacking lineup.
The attacking end fed the ball well and a change in goals in the second half shook things up to bring a new dynamic to the circle.

B-grade: Blighty 13 def by Dookie 72.
The final score didn’t reflect the incredible effort and continued improvement we’ve seen from the team each week.
With a couple of players unavailable, the ladies really stepped up and adapted to new positions. We also welcomed support from a few of our A-grade players.
A special thanks to Aimee Rankin, who joined us in defence and slotted in seamlessly.
Up front, our shooters worked hard to build their connection.

C-grade took to the court this week with positive energy to take on the Dookie side and never gave up.
The girls showed incredible determination and heart, pushing through right to the end, even when the scoreboard didn’t fall their way.
This team is beginning to show great promise. Their determination is commendable.

C-reserve: Blighty 6 def by Dookie 42.
What a game it was! The team has been putting in the hard yards at training and working consistently on their fitness, and its definitely starting to show.
It was fantastic to have a full team on the court this week and the energy was high from the first whistle.
Although the final score didn’t reflect the incredible effort or the progress the girls have made, the improvement since the start of the season is clear for all to see.
The girls fought hard all game, delivering some impressive turnovers and flowing play down the court.
A great team performance from the Blighty girls with plenty of positives to take into next week. Keep up the fantastic work!

Under-17s: Blighty 39 def Dookie 36.
What a nail biter this week! Fortunately our Redeyes came away with a win!
We managed to hold the lead at each quarter. There were only small margins, causing a lot of pressure and a couple of errors, however we are learning this season to push through and be disciplined to win.
Gwen Gazza came on from the bench to WD and had a huge impact on the game, running tirelessly with her opponent wearing them down and creating crucial turnovers.
Ash Charlton again held strong, pushing the ball forward into attack, handling all passes given to her and showing much more grit each week which we love.
Catie Michael also again made great decision making off the bench and we applaud her efforts to do her very best on the court each time.

Under-15s: Blighty 14 def by Dookie 44.
It was a tricky match for the Redeyes. The girls stepped onto the court trying some new combinations.
It was a tough day out but everyone kept going. Well done girls keep working hard!

Under-13s: Blighty 26 def Dookie 9.
In a dominant display of skill and teamwork, Blighty triumphed over Dookie with a convincing victory in their latest netball encounter.
The match showcased Blighty’s superior attacking and defensive strategies from start to finish.
Blighty started strong, immediately asserting their control over the game.
Their attackers were quick to make incisive passes, and the shooting circle was clinical.
Blighty’s mid-courters were relentless in controlling the pace and constantly feeding the ball into their shooters with precision.
Blighty’s defensive unit was equally impressive, intercepting passes and denying Dookie any easy scoring opportunities.
Dookie crept up on Blighty with a solid second quarter, however the Redeyes came out strong in the third with four quick, consecutive goals.
Overall, it was an impressive victory for Blighty, and a strong reminder of their potential as they continue to build on this performance in upcoming fixtures.

As Dookie were short a couple of players, our girls took turns playing for the other side.
It was a really great game and we are super proud of how everyone stepped up and had heaps of fun!
Jewel Winter played an awesome game. She was always in front of her player and got her hands on many balls in defence, causing lots of great turnovers.
In attack she worked the ball around the third to ensure she was in optimum position to score goals for the team.
Ruby Foley played amazing game, swapping between positions all over the court.
She took everything in her stride and was always where she needed to be, whether it was sticking tight with the opponent or finding space to bring the ball down the court.
