It was a very competitive game and both sides played well.
Dominant in the first half, with it taking about 20 minutes for Golden City to get out of their own half, the Wanderers failed to capitalise with missing three or four good chances on goal.
Within five minutes, the game had turned to 2-0, with Golden City scoring one penalty and one scrappy goal in the box.
In the second half, the Wanderers started well, scoring to bring the game to 2-1 with a good goal from Masen Brain.
As the game went on both teams were tiring meaning both sides weren’t as tight and structured.
Golden City scored two late goals to make it 4-1.
Player’s player went to Hamish Baker for his tireless effort and great runs into the box.
Club president Christian Ellis said it was a good game to watch.
He is hopeful the Wanderers can move forward as they take on Spring Gully next weekend after this week’s bye.
