Ray Phillips from Wedgies plays his second shot on the 10th.
Timing can often be everything in sport, and two teams had their timing right Saturday in the semi finals of the Deniliquin Golf Club Premier League competition.

The Wedgies upset Tell Him He’s Dreaming with a convincing 139-100 win to secure their place in the grand final.
With seven of their eight players on course, the Wedgies gave themselves every chance of a competitive total and didn’t disappoint.
The side was lead by Geoff King who fired an excellent 39 points, which included 23 points on the back nine.
Magnus Aitken contributed a solid 34, with Sarah Aitken and Ray Phillips each scoring 33.
In comparison, the Dreamers left too much to too few.
They were only able to field three players, and essentially handed the contest to the Wedgies.
Andrew Brunker and Kev Keane posted competitive scores of 33 points each, but they were left to wonder what may have been.
Col Thompson tees off on the 9th for Tell Him He’s Dreamin.
The Dreamers will have another chance when they contest a preliminary final against Par-Tee Poppers.
The Poppers may be timing their run perfectly, having only secured their finals place in the final round of the season and defeating Big Ballers in the elimination semi final on Saturday.
The Poppers produced a consistent scoring effort to record a 127-101 win, led by Will Bull with 33 points, Pauline Sherwin’s 32 and Anita Grouch and Hugh Sutton each scoring 31.
Big Ballers had the minimum four players on course, with Robert Armytage the best with 29 points and Gary Stephens posting 28.
The competition break due to flooding was always going have an impact on the conclusion of the season, and unfortunately Big Ballers had some key players unavailable due to work commitments.
That made it difficult to achieve a competitive total.
The preliminary final will be played this Saturday between Tell Him He’s Dreamin and Par-Tee Poppers.
The winner will progress to the grand final, where the Wedgies await.
