Pre-season testing is set to kick off on Wednesday, February 7, providing fans with the opportunity to witness 16 Supercars from Victoria and New South Wales-based teams at Winton Raceway for their first outing of 2024.
The test day, which is open to the public, invites fans to watch the teams and drivers as they prepare for race one at Mount Panorama.
It’s a unique chance for enthusiasts to witness the behind-the-scenes action and catch a glimpse of the strategies and skills that will set the tone for the season ahead.
Stephen Whyte, the general manager of Winton Motor Raceway, said the test day would allow spectators to see the 2024 Supercars in action before anyone else.
“Whilst disappointing that Winton Motor Raceway isn’t hosting a round for 2024, it’s important that Winton plays a part in the Supercars by providing the official test track for the Victorian and NSW-based teams,” Whyte said.
“The official Supercars test day provides the north-east Victorian fans an opportunity to see the cars up close.”
The main gates on Huntley St will open at 9am on Wednesday and the event will feature food, drinks and coffee options.
Attendees have an opportunity to win one of three exclusive Winton Motor Raceway merch packs by booking tickets in advance. Each includes:
- 1x Winton hat.
- 1x Winton stubbie holder.
- 1x Winton T-shirt.
- 1x Winton hoodie.
Entry is $5 for spectators, while entry for children under 12 and BAC members is free.
