The under-12s travelled to Victoria Park on Sunday to take on the unbeaten Echuca White.
The Rams had a magnificent first quarter - kicks were accurate, there were plenty of strong overhead marks and a great spread.
Charlie Eastman dribbled in the first goal of the match from forward pocket, and the Rams led 6-0 at the first break.
It was an even contest in the second quarter, with some great team passages by Charlie Murray, Nate Fitzpatrick and Ollie Dellwo, who weaved around what seemed like five defenders to kick the Rams’ second goal to even the scores at half-time.
The third quarter saw momentum swing towards the Bombers, who dominated possession in their forward 50 and capitalised with four straight goals.
The Rams managed one reply through Ned Wettenhall, who finished neatly on the run.
The boys continued to work hard and apply plenty of pressure in the last quarter right to the siren and were commended by coach Rob Wettenhall, but the Bombers were simply too strong.
The boys will look forward to playing another strong Echuca Bombers Green next Friday night at home.
