Shop local to win

October 31, 2017

Central Cellarbrations manager Troy Bright, Pastoral Times senior advertising consultant Amy Gretgrix, Central IGA staff member Lyn Henthorn and Cellarbrations staff member Mick Lyne.

The reward for supporting local businesses with your pre-Christmas shopping this year could see up to $4000 in local shopping vouchers land in your pocket.

The annual Spend & Win promotion starts today, with a $200 Deni Gift Card to be won each week for the next five weeks and a $1000 and $2000 gift card to be won at the major prize draw on December 14.

The promotion is run by the Pastoral Times, with the support of Deniliquin Business Chamber and major sponsor Deniliquin Central IGA.

Simply spend $20 at participating stores to receive an entry envelope. Entry coupons will appear in every edition of the Pastoral Times during the promotion, starting with page 10 today.

Place a coupon in the envelope, write your details on the envelope and enter it in the entry box at participating stores — it’s that easy.

Central Cellarbrations manager Troy Bright said the promotion is a great way to reward people who support local businesses.

‘‘For small communities to thrive, we do rely on people to shop locally,’’ Mr Bright said.

‘‘Spending in your local community ensures the stores you love can continue servicing the needs of the community, and keep employing local people.

‘‘That then contributes to the economy as a whole, as well as ensuring our schools, community and sporting groups also continue to thrive.

‘‘Spend & Win also gives you an incentive to get a little bit of extra shopping done before Christmas.’’

Spend & Win prize vouchers can only be redeemed at stores participating in the promotion (see page 10).

The Spend & Win campaign ends with the major prize draw at the Edward River Council Christmas Party to be held in the Waring Gardens, scheduled for Thursday, December 14.

The $200 weekly draws will be held November 3, 10, 17 and 24 and on December 8. All entries stay in the draw for the major vouchers.

Only original envelopes and entry coupons will be accepted.
