Mrs Mecham successfully defended their best dressed couple title in Fashions on the Field, but this time on the arm of family friend Magnus Aitken.
Mr Mecham died in January, from a pulmonary thromboembolism situated in deep vein thrombosis.
Returning to Deniliquin from Hamilton for the Caulfield Cup Day races was tradition for the Mechams.
Their love for country racing saw them win the best dressed couple title each year since 2016.
That love was passed down to their four children - Isobel, Molly, Sam and Pip - who are all regulars in the competitions themselves, and often winners.
Isobel and Sam kept up the winning streak for the family on Saturday, claiming the senior girl and junior boy sections respectively.
The family wins kept coming when Liz’s mother Marg Bull won the best millinery award.
Eliza Conallin was lady of the day, with Sarah Rae runner-up and Chantall Barnes third.
Monique Gordon was the winner of the contemporary lady of the day and the best dressed male was awarded to Jason Andrews, ahead of Grant Kaylock.
