The fete will be the first official event of the Orana Auxiliary, formed earlier this year.
All proceeds will be used by the auxiliary to deliver a wish list of items for Orana.
Auxiliary member Kerry Menhennitt said the list is being finalised in consultation with staff and residents.
‘‘We set up the auxiliary after the successful fashion show held at Orana by volunteers in June, to purchase items for the residents that are needed outside Orana’s capabilities.
‘‘The fashion show was a test for the then pending auxiliary, to involve the residents and the community.
‘‘After its success, we wanted to look at the next step in involving the community.
‘‘An auxiliary member suggested a fete be our first official event to add a little fun, and because we could include so many different elements.’’
The fete will be held at Orana, starting at the front entrance off Napier St, Deniliquin and spilling inside and to the central courtyard.
Activities confirmed include dog competitions, face painting, arts and crafts, barbecue lunch, art exhibition and bric-a-brac, pot plant, produce and food stalls.
The fete will start at 10.30am on November 2, and wrap up about 3.30pm.
