Deni Rider Rielly Lynch motors on

Rielly Lynch is continuing to take strides forward in the field of motorcycle racing.The 17-year-old is currently competing in the Victorian state titles, and is giving his all at the sport.The biking talent has been riding since he was just three years of age, and racing since he was seven.And the thrill of the sport, along with the community and the challenge it provides, is what has carried the passion.‘‘I enjoy the rush it gives me to hit a jump or to battle with someone on the track,’’ Rielly said.‘‘Also catching up with mates riding at the races, the fitness that goes along with racing and riding —  it’s an awesome sport.’’The rider is now competing as a senior. ‘‘I have now stepped up from junior to senior and I’m riding a Husqvarna 250 and a Husqvarna 450,’’ Rielly said.‘‘I have been doing the Victorian state titles championship in all powers B-grade, I am third and in MX1 B-grade and running fifth in the championship.‘‘The first round of the Victorian titles were at Horsham and after the first round I was running third in both classes.‘‘Then round two was at Rosebud in the sand and I didn’t ride very well there as I had never raced on a sand track and had a few crashes.‘‘I am happy with where I am sitting with two more rounds to come, one at Cobram and then Traralgon, both coming up in August.’’The youngster also has been competing in the northern region championships.‘‘I missed the first round due to a broken hand but I have done the next two rounds and I am running sixth in MX2 B-grade,’’ Rielly said.‘‘And in the MX1, I am fifth with the next round being Deniliquin  August 8, so I am hoping to go well there being my home club.’’When he’s not at the track, Rielly can be caught on the field, as a football player for the Blighty U17s.And he says their understanding allows him to juggle both sports.‘‘I  have to thank the Blighty Football and Netball Club for all the support with letting me play and train out there knowing I can’t make every game due to my racing,’’ Rielly  said.‘‘They are such a great club to be a part of.’’
