The next stage of redevelopment for Tooleybuc’s Mensforth Park is about to start.
The park is a project of Murray River Council and is part of a number of upgrades to the open space area at Tooleybuc.
The proposed design work has been completed after a consultation process with the Tooleybuc community.
Mayor Cr Chris Bilkey said council is pleased the project has reached this milestone.
“The proposed works will enhance the existing attributes of Mensforth Park’s settings and deliver recreational infrastructure that is of value to both the local community and visitors,” he said.
A priority of the project is to develop a new toilet block, bus stop and car park.
It will also provide a terraced playground with two level play areas and upgrades to the Bridge Keeper’s Cottage including a deck, arbour and outdoor kitchen.
Council staff and external contractors will complete the work in stages. All components will be linked through a path network with consistent landscaping themes.
