Suryavanshi, 14, blasts his way into the record books

Teenage Indian batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi has broken another record as he became the youngest player to score a century in men's List A cricket.

At just 14 years and 272 days, he brought up three figures from 36 balls for Bihar in their Vijay Hazare Trophy opener against Arunachal Pradesh.

Suryavanshi was not done there either, as he went on to break South African AB de Villiers' 64-ball record for the fastest 150 in men's List A cricket.

He brought up the milestone from just 59 balls, but was 10 runs away from his double century before being dismissed after 84 balls.

His innings included 16 fours and 15 sixes and was Suryavanshi's seventh List A game since making his debut in December 2024. He helped Bihar make 6-574, breaking the world List A record by 68 runs, as they won by 397 runs.

Earlier this year the teenager became the youngest player to hit a century in men's T20s with his 35-ball hundred for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League.

He also smashed 143 from 78 balls in the fastest-recorded ton in a youth one-day international in India's 55-run victory over England at Worcester.
